Welcome to DSI Academy, a Business Unit of DSI Partners! I am thrilled to be part of this project after two years of sabbatical immersion, when I had the opportunity to navigate outside the corporate world and find out the myriad of opportunities we have in front of our very eyes.<\/p>\n

The new era of learning is here, where we will need to continue reinventing ourselves, grant employability for many more years and, on top of everything, learn continuously, the so-called lifelong learning journey. We are the spectators of a time where conventional schools are continuously declining and new education, oriented to specific skills, sometimes \u201calla carta\u201d, is thriving. Moreover, schools are already discussing and implementing the \u201cself-service curriculum\u201d, where the employee\/student is cherry picking what is needed to shine in his\/her career.<\/p>\n
And while we see how cognitive training is becoming much more specific, task oriented, emotional skills are being trained and developed like never before. With robotics becoming more and more the new normal and taking a good chunk of repetitive, low value adding activities, we humans need to develop our emotional toolbox more than ever: teamwork, coping with failure, empathy, adaptability, resilience, among others, will be increasingly needed in order to cope with the new times.<\/p>\n
In times of remote work or home office, how will our customers teams work together? What will be the characteristics of the new era teamwork when people don\u2019t even meet each other and even onboarding is virtually done in many cases? How will people network and share experiences, something so obvious just a few years ago? What is the role of management in this new way of working, without being even able to have a good look into the faces or their employees?<\/p>\n
